Wyvern Rider is the continuation of the warrior/brigand/fighter axe line for offensive shutdown axe units :)

WYVERN RIDER NOTES:

-Flying axe class, strong against lances, weak to swords and critically weak to bows/effective vs flyer weapons
-Dismount with Left bumper + B
-Hold X to charge class gauge and release to slam down, can move and charge
-Press X during a strong attack to instantly do a fully charged class action

ATTACK NOTES:

Y - Fast angled slash low damage
YY - fast horizontal slash low damage
YYY - downward slash for low+ damage
YYYY - Upward slash that can launch, launches fodder enemies for med damage
YYYYY - Downward meteor that bounces, bounces fodder enemies for med damage
YYYYYY - spinning axe attack, flurry of blows, pushes bounced foes for med+ damage
YYYYYYY - final heavy slash/launches foes back, med+ damage

X - attack while moving forward a short distance
X(FULLY Charged) - big slam down that bounces foes

YX - Multihit launcher that does good damage, HIGH COMMITMENT
YYX - rush foes for medium damage, med commitment/moves so not as risky
YYYX - 360 degree axe attack that hits in good radius, medium commitment/static
YYYYX - massive 360 degree attack, EXTREMELY HIGH COMMITMENT, can be damage during this, good AoE damage
YYYYYX - Heavy damage bouncing slam, extremely low commitment, one of the best attacks.
YYYYYYX - rapid spinning attack for good damage, spam x to continue will automatically end after a short period of time, stop spamming
x to end early. High mobility, low commitment, also one of the better attacks.

CLASS TACTICS:

-Combat arts are your friend, as is freezing foes, open up foes with combat arts to begin chains, especially against dangerous enemies/threats.
-Wyvern has some pitfall attacks that leave you open, YX has high commitment for a launcher, so much so that you will often be taking
damage to do what is usually a fast attack. Other risky attacks are YYYX which has moderate risk of getting hit, and YYYYX which is
one of the highest commitment attacks in the game, and you can easily get hit while doing this attack even though it looks like you are
flying around and dodging attacks.
-YYX, (5)YYYYYX, (6)YYYYYYX surprisingly have some of the lowest commitment and lowest risk of counterattack, while maintaining CONTROLLABLE
mobility. These are some of your best attacks.
-This is a midgame class and you should unlock axe prowess on every axe class that has it to boost your damage.
-Generally the best combat arts are cheap and deal good damage. Cheap combat arts means more shutting down ememies and tanking
their incoming attacks and combat arts prevent damage during use.
