Red Torpedoes: Inside the 2020 ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup in Szeged

Staying committed during the hectic training season of 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic was a big challenge for the Red Torpedoes. The team had to stay motivated during the lockdown without any confirmed competition calendar. Eventually, the Sprint Canoeing World Cup could take place in Szeged (Hungary) during the last weekend of September. All competitors had to comply with the required health and safety measures, but the effort paid off and the Belgium National Sprint Canoeing Team managed to bring home two medals and some very promising results for the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in 2021.
