One restaurant owner told VERIFY that a food truck was parked in front of their store and wondered if these food trucks could park anywhere. In this video, VERIFY reporter Meghan Bragg goes to the city of Charlotte with questions about the rules for food truck parking and operations in the Queen City.

The food truck craze has picked up all across the country. According to research company IBIS World, there are more than 36,000 food truck businesses across the U.S. That's up nearly 10% from 2022. In Charlotte, the city said it has issued more food truck permits so far in 2023 than it did last year.
