Junaid Ali - Disciple of Ustad Shahbaz Hussain -Tabla solo Teen Taal

London based Junaid Ali performs the 16 beat rhythm cycle, Teen Taal for Takiya Online's Honhaar Festival on 26th September 2020. Naghma accompaniment on the harmonium is by the equally talented Parkash Pal.

Junaid, 21, is a disciple of the illustrious tabla player of the Punjab and Delhi Gharana Ustad Shahbaz Hussain. This particular solo, reflects the training and repertoire which his mentor, Shahbaz Hussain has blessed him with, who in turn, was taught this by three of the greatest masters of tabla, Ustad Shaukat Hussain, Ustad Allah Rakha and Ustad Faiyaz Khan.

In addition to tabla playing, Junaid has recently graduated with a degree in Criminology, and is currently studying for a Masters at the prestigious University College, University of London.
