US Navy's Phalanx CIWS - Training & Testing

Highlights video of the U.S. Navy ships while conducting routine trainings, calibration exercises and testings on the Phalanx CIWS to maintain readiness of their defense systems.

The Phalanx CIWS is a naval system for defense against airborne threats such as anti-ship missiles, fighter jets and helicopters. Consisting of a radar-guided 20 mm Vulcan cannon mounted on a swiveling base. The Phalanx has been used by the United States Navy and the naval forces of 15 other countries.
