I mod saws for fun, mostly 357XP's. This saw is a lightly ported 2015 Husqvarna 395XP with ported Meteor brand jug, base gasket delete and 372XT carb, wire mesh air filter. Muffler mod is just pull the screen and bend down deflector. It has the OEM piston and rings, not Meteor. Saw has had one tank of gas though it in this video, not broken in!
Combustion chamber roof was flattened to accommodate base gasket delete.
Compression is around 185 PSI as I recall, and the quench clearance is around 0.024" I am currently running Amsoil SABER at 32 to 1. Max RPM is set to 13,500RPM.
Other specs are 24" bar 3/8 chisel chain round file.
It runs like a big 372XP with good mid-range grunt and silly top end!
Probably set a little lean for real logging work. More mods planed for the future, once I get my new lathe up and going.
