About Kalsi & Yamuna Ji
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kalsi is a small town located in the Dehradun district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is situated on the banks of the Yamuna River and is known for its historical importance. The town was once an important center of the Ashoka Empire and has many ruins and artifacts from that era.

The Yamuna River is a sacred river in northern India and is considered to be the sister of the Ganges River. It originates from the Yamunotri glacier in the Himalayas and flows through several states before emptying into the Ganges River in Prayaagraj. The river is known for its religious significance, and many pilgrims bathe in its waters to wash away their sins. It is also an important source of water for irrigation and agriculture in the region.

The Kalsi area is home to several ancient temples and monuments, including the Kalsi Rock Edict of Ashoka, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The area is also known for its natural beauty, and visitors can enjoy hiking and camping in the surrounding hills and forests. The Yamuna River is a popular destination for rafting and fishing, and visitors can also take boat rides to explore the river and its surroundings.

How to reach Kalsi
--------------------------------

If going from the ISBT Dehradun side then Take Shimla bypass road or if you are coming from Rajpur Dehradun or Saharanpur Chowk nearby places side then reach Ballupur from there follow Chakrata road. The route would be the same from both ways ( Selakui- Vikasnagar we can avoid Vikasnagar or Herbertpur if we take some secret internal short routs on Langha road to reach Daakpatthar Bairage this is a very scenic place must stop to see ducks swimming in the lake and other beautiful species of birds, have some photographs and selfies to post on social media, after that follow Kalsi road from Daakpathhar it is about 4 Km to reach Yamunotri Mussoorie diversion from here just follow Chakrata rout Yamuna bridge is about 1.5 Km from here just walk downstairs to reach the Banks of Yamuna ji .

Apart from that the Historical Ashoka Rock Edict of Kalsi is about 2.5Km here
