I have been practicing day trading now for about 2 months. I have made a personal deadline not to enter live trading until I complete 4 months "training" on paper trading. However those 2 months I have completed so far have really only been about 1.5 months. The other 2 weeks have been spent trying to figure out what was wrong with the application (TOS Tech Support), my internet connection (AT&T at one house and X-Finity at the other) or the servers routing (both AT&T and X-Finity).

It wasn't until today that I finally talked to someone on TOS Tech Support who either finally told me the truth or actually knew what she was talking about. She said that they were actually throttling speeds on the paper trading accounts in order to focus more resources on the live trading accounts. She also told me that there is nothing that TOS will do to change that or accommodate people like myself who want to learn with near optimum training conditions.

My questions are simple: Is there a platform that will teach you with real time speeds? If TOS can do this on paper trading accounts, what's to stop them from doing it on live accounts and costing a trader real money?
