Marion Nestle gave the plenary lecture at the European Society of Environmental History (ESEH) Conference 2013. Nestle is the Paulette Goddard Professor in the Department of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health at New York University (NYU), which she chaired from 1988--2003. She also teaches sociology at NYU and is a visiting professor of nutritional sciences at Cornell.

Marion Nestle is the author of three award-winning books: "Food Politics: How the Food Industry Influences Nutrition and Health", "Safe Food: The Politics of Food Safety", and "What to Eat".
