This festival began in 2016 with a clear vision: to establish a platform that bridges
tradition and modernity, celebrating creativity across regions and cultures. Over
the years, we have invited world-renowned drummers such as Thomas Lang, Peter
Erskine, and Russ Miller to perform and lead masterclasses. These events have
enriched the music community in Hong Kong, broadening perspectives and
inspiring audiences with the artistry of drumming.
Each year, the festival evolves with new challenges.
In 2017, we introduced the
first Asia-Pacific Drumming Competition, connecting drummers across the region
with Hong Kong’s vibrant scene. This milestone fostered collaboration, unearthed
new talents, and expanded creative horizons.
In 2018, we deepened our mission to promote music appreciation and cultural
exchange by hosting legends such as Dave Weckl, Mike Stern, and Dennis
Chambers. That same year, we launched "Drums In Move", an educational program
emphasizing ensemble performance and musicality. To date, this initiative has
benefited over 2,000 students, with annual showcases highlighting their growth.
In response to the global pandemic in 2020, we adapted by launching the Drum Up
Channel, a platform offering instructional videos and VR-enabled practice
sessions. This innovation allowed drummers to continue honing their skills in an
engaging and effective way.
In 2021, we hosted the Asia-Pacific Drummer Competition (Online), ensuring
continuity in challenging times. By 2023, the competition returned to an in-person
format at the Sha Tin Town Hall, featuring Akira Jimbo and Jeff Queen, whose
masterclasses and adjudication inspired participants and audiences alike.
This year, in 2025, we gather in the historic Victoria Barracks Arsenal, a Grade I
Historic Building that has stood since 1860. This venue, steeped in history, serves
as a fitting stage for today’s drummers to create their own legacies.
Every drummer here is making history—not only for themselves but for future
generations who will draw inspiration from this moment. Winning and losing are
incidental; what matters is the courage to persevere, the dedication to excel, and
the passion to pursue one’s dreams.

自2016年創立以來，一直秉持清晰的願景：建立一個連結傳統與現代的鼓樂平
台，促進跨地域的文化創意交流。多年來，我們邀請了世界著名鼓手如
Thomas Lang、Peter Erskine 和 Russ Miller 來港演出及主持大師班，透過他
們卓越的表演與教學，豐富了香港的音樂社群，啟發了觀眾對鼓樂藝術的欣賞
與新啟發。
每一年，鼓手節都不斷突破與成長。
2017年，我們創辦了首屆亞太區鼓手賽，
為亞太地區的鼓手與香港的鼓樂界建立了重要的交流平台，促進合作，發掘新
秀，並拓展創意的邊界。
2018年，我們深化了推廣音樂欣賞與文化交流的使命，邀請了 Dave Weckl、
Mike Stern 和 Dennis Chambers 等傳奇音樂家參與。
同年，我們推出了教育
項目 「鼓動節拍」，專注於鼓隊合奏的演出與音樂性訓練。致今，該計劃已惠及
超過2,000名學生，並透過年度計劃公開演出展示他們的成長與成果。
2020年，面對全球疫情的挑戰，我們迅速適應，推出了 Drum Up Channel，

榮幸邀請到日本的 Akira Jimbo 和 美國的 Jeff Queen 擔任評審及主持大師
班，他們的專業啟發了所有參與者和觀眾。
來到 2025年，我們齊聚於歷史悠久的域多利軍營軍庫，這座建於1860年的一
級歷史建築，見證了一個半世紀的歷史，今天則成為鼓手們創造新篇章的舞
台。
每一位站在這裡的鼓手，都在為自己的夢想奮鬥，寫下屬於自己的歷史篇章。
無論比賽結果如何，在2025年的這一刻，站在香港這座歷史建築裡，你們都是
歷史的締造者。
勝負只是一時，真正重要的是你們的努力、堅持與對夢想的熱情。每一次挑
戰，都是一段傳奇的開端；未來的鼓手將追隨你們今天創造的歷史，繼續追逐
他們的夢想。
