Chordplay - The Classical Side Of Yngwie Malmsteen

Описание к видео Chordplay - The Classical Side Of Yngwie Malmsteen

Here's the next episode of Chordplay with The Classical Side Of Yngwie Malmsteen. I've had a number of requests to feature more of Yngwie's music, along with adding some more classical/acoustic-themed lessons, so I figured hitting both topics head-on at the same time would be interesting - so here we go!

This lesson focuses on Yngwie's classically-influenced flavors and textures found in his music, and aside from the endless arpeggios, scale runs, tapping, and more found in his stellar electric playing, Yngwie's consistently featured nylon and steel-string acoustic guitar parts in his music and this episode chips away at a number of his ideas, approaches, and classically-influenced chord-based moments on his albums.

The various song-based examples we're hitting in this episode include sections from various Malmsteen classics, such as 'Evil Eye,' 'Icarus Dream Suite Op.4,' 'Memories,' 'Devil In Disguise,' and many more. There's something to gain and beneficial to learn from tackling classical guitar music, and working on a number of these ideas from Yngwie will help sharpen your skills with this type of fingerstyle playing, in addition to helping you dig a little deeper into Malmsteen's influence and seemingly endless talent.

There are a lot of interesting things on display and floating around in this lesson, so be sure to take your time working through this material and feel free to dig deep into Yngwie's genius on your own - as there are countless things you can add to your own ideas and bag of tricks using some of his moves and music as a reference and musical guide.
