I was told I had less than a 1% chance to survive.

A massive blood clot had taken over nearly half of my circulatory system. It broke free, lodged in my heart, and led to emergency open-heart surgery. My surgeon later told me it was one of the longest clots ever removed from a living human being.
And somehow—I survived.
