Learning Music Theory With -- [The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time]

Описание к видео Learning Music Theory With -- [The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time]

Koji Kondo was my first and biggest inspiration on composing music ever since I was little. In this video I try to go in-depth on the compositional techniques that made Ocarina of Time's soundtrack a classic and how others' compositions including mine have been influenced. Techniques covered here include "V7 resolves to I", [IV V I] & [ii V I], longer chains of 5ths like [vi ii V I] and [iii vi ii V I], and key modulation.

Stay tuned for Part 2, in which we'll get a bit more advanced.
