Exploring the anxiolytic potential of CBG, a case study on CBG and CBD - Dr. Riley Kirk

CBG is a major cannabinoid found in Cannabis Sativa L. that has well documented analgesic effects. The polypharmacological activity at receptors TRPV1, TRPV2, alpha2, adrenoceptor, serotonin, 5HT1A receptor, and more provide additional evidence that there may be further implications for this compound for anxiolytic purposes.

Dr. Riley Kirk is a cannabis research scientist, educator, and advocate. She received her PHD from the university of Rhode Island in pharmaceutical sciences specializing in chemistry and pharmacology of medicinal plants and fungi. She is the founder of The Network for Applied Pharmacognosy, and adjunct professor in the college of pharmacy at University of Rhode Island and the host of the Bioactive podcast. She is an advocate for science communication and education.
