ערוץ 13 מהדורת השבת- פצצת זמן גנטית: האם שמנסה להציל את משפחתה מהמחלה התורשתית- קרויצפלד יעקב CJD

כתבה על אליס ענן, מייסדת ומנהלת עמותה לקידום הטיפול במחלת קרויצפלד-יעקב, מחלת ניוון מוח קטלנית, נדירה וחשוכת מרפא, המתפרצת החל מגילאי 30 וגורמת למוות וודאי בתוך מספר חודשים.
סיפור השליחות שלקחה על עצמה לאחר גילוי הנשאות שלה, של בתה ומשפחתה, עם הקושי הרב במודעות המתמדת לסיכון שהמחלה מציבה מול כל המשפחה. בכתבה ילדיה אף מתבטאים לגבי ההתמודדות שלהם עצמם ודעתם בעניין.
אליס מובילה קו פרואקטיבי של לקיחת יוזמה לקידום המחקר ופועלת לשלב בין כל הגורמים בכדי לקדם פתרון. היא מטפחת קשרים רבים עם חוקרים בעולם, וכן עם משפחות חולים, לגשר ולשתף ידע. אחת היוזמות החשובות שהיא מקדמת הוא פרויקט בנק דגימות (ביובנק) שיתופי בסורוקה שמיועד להנגיש את הדגימות למחקר בכל העולם, ולרכז את כל המידע הנצבר מהמחקרים בחזרה, על מנת לערוך מחקר של בינה מלאכותית, ולהאיץ גילויים ותובנות על המחלה וכן לקדם לה טיפול. בכתבה אף מרואיין מנהל רשות המחקר של סורוקה ומנהל בנק הדגימות, פרופ' ויקטור נובק.

The article is about Alice Anane, founder and director of the Creutzfeldt-Jakob
Israel Foundation, for the promotion of the treatment of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD),
A fatal, rare and incurable degenerative brain disease that erupts from the age of 30s and causes certain death within a few months.
The story of the mission she undertook after the discovery of her, her daughter's and her family's risk, with the great difficulty in the constant awareness of the risk that the disease poses to the whole family. In the article, her children express themselves about their dealings and opinions on the matter.
Alice leads a proactive line of taking the initiative to promote research and active to combine all factors to promote a solution. She cultivates many relationships with researchers in the world, as well as with patients' families, to bridge and share knowledge. One of the most important initiatives she promotes is a project of collaborative biologocal sample bank (biobank) in Soroka, which is designed to make the rare samples available for research all over the world, and to gather all the information concentrated from the studies back, in order to conduct artificial intelligence research, and accelerate discoveries and insights about the disease as well as promote its treatment. The article also interview the director of the Soroka Research Authority and the director of the Biobank, Prof. Victor Novak.
