Edro III shipwreck: A tale of survival and mystery | Cyprus

The Edro III is a well-known shipwreck located off the coast of Peyia, near Paphos, Cyprus. The ship, originally built in 1966, ran aground on the rocky shores of Cyprus in December 2011. It was a Sierra Leone-flagged cargo vessel measuring approximately 80 meters (262 feet) in length.

The shipwreck has become a popular tourist attraction due to its dramatic and picturesque location. The Edro III is partially submerged in the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea, with its bow sticking out of the water. The rusted hull and the remains of the ship provide a striking contrast against the turquoise sea and the rugged coastline.
