STORYLINE:
Winter weather has finally come to Moscow, and on Sunday the capital was dusted with a long awaited sprinkling of snow.
The cold weather has arrived much later than usual, and in Moscow hardy local residents enthusiastically welcomed the onset of winter.
"This is wonderful that the long waited for snow has come. It's great to see this kind of weather," said Alexei Klimanov.
November was abnormally warm with lots of rain and temperature records in many areas of Russia.
Meteorologists expect a dramatic fall in temperature next week.
