A wave of visits of African-Americans to Ghana occurred in 2019 as interest to explore the land where their ancestors were stolen from soared. This is the first in a series documenting the movement.

This chapter covers the Back to Africa Festival that brought about 100 African Americans to Ghana. Among the highlights of their visit included the search for meaning, answers and understanding at the Slave Dungeons where their ancestors were held before embarkation.
