WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRY TO SHARPEN A KNIFE ON A COFFEE CUP?

I get this question a lot, "Can you just use a coffee cup to sharpen a knife?" I had tried to sharpen my knife on a coffee cup years ago and failed. After years of practice will I finally be able to sharpen on a coffee cup??



I definitely would not recommend this method for sharpening. Try this at your own risk. Its very easy to slip off the cup while sharpening and damage your knife. I would recommend REAL sharpening stones.
The sharpening stones I use most are the edge pro stones, and Norton stones. Other sharpening stones id recommend are king stones.
The knife used in this video is the spyderco pacific salt...spyderco may have stopped making this knife as I can't find it anywhere. They do make a smaller version though.
