Elvis Presley Unravelled #47 Arthur Godfrey Audition 1955

Описание к видео Elvis Presley Unravelled #47 Arthur Godfrey Audition 1955

On 23 March 1955 Elvis auditioned on Arthur Godfrey’s Talent Scouts. Sadly it didn't go well for Elvis.
It was a New York based TV show where the audience chose the winner
with an applause meter. This was a very prestigious talent show and kick-started many careers, including Pat Boone and Patsy Cline.
Bob Neal was still Elvis's manager at this time but Col Parker agreed to pay for Elvis’s trip to New York. This is when the Colonel took control and from here on in – the Colonel was driving Elvis’s career.
