When you are born and raised in Lockhart, Tx. it's probably true that BBQ runs in your veins. But for Abraham Franks, BBQ was not his first endeavor. AD moved to Las Vegas, NV to pursue the construction business, but when things slowed down he pivoted to BBQ to help provide for his family.

But Las Vegas can be a difficult place for BBQ, so in 2011 AD found himself back in Texas in the DFW Metroplex doing BBQ catering after church. This helped build his customer base and turn his side hussle into a family business.

In 2017, AD and his family established their business in its current location and for 7 years have made a living cooking up some of the best home style BBQ in the DFW Metroplex.

AD said his mother taught him how to cook, but his father taught him the love for the pit! Holy Smoke's East Texas Style BBQ pairs well with one of their 3 types of sauces and chopped brisket and pulled pork are kings!
