In War Room (2015), the protagonist, Elizabeth (Priscilla C. Shirer), finds herself struggling with constant arguments with her husband, Tony. In an effort to help, the wise and experienced Miss Clara (Karen Abercrombie) takes Elizabeth under her wing and invites her to visit her “war room,” a small, dedicated space filled with prayer notes and personal pleas to God. Miss Clara, having faced similar struggles in her own marriage, shares her insight on how prayer can be the key to resolving marital conflicts.

Miss Clara explains how she used to argue with her husband just as Elizabeth does, but through prayer, she found a way to resolve issues that no argument or complaint could. Despite the warmth and wisdom of Miss Clara's words, Elizabeth is hesitant. She claims she doesn’t have time for such things, too consumed by her daily battles. Miss Clara calmly responds, “You have time to argue with your husband, but not to pray?”

Elizabeth, left speechless, cannot deny the truth in Miss Clara's words. She thanks her, but leaves the meeting with much to think about, realizing that prayer might hold the key to peace she never expected.
