In this episode of the Super Cells and their Super Powers series for The Game of Strife, we unlock a major new mechanic: Super Cells with persistent memory and lives.

These aren’t just stronger versions of regular cells—they evolve.

🧠 Tokens now carry memory, allowing superpowers to persist across simulation steps. This opens the door to deeper AI-like behaviors and far more nuanced gameplay.

In this video, I showcase the three superpowers:

Resilience – Super cells are statistically more likely to survive when the simulation tries to remove them.

Aggression – Under certain conditions, super cells can be “born” from surrounding cells. Players can now control the threshold and probability of new super cells emerging from the board itself.



And the most exciting new addition?

🔥 Lives – Just like in classic video games, a super cell can now survive multiple deaths. Each time the simulation says “this cell dies,” one life is subtracted. The cell only truly dies when all lives are lost. This opens up a new realm of strategic endurance, and it’s only the beginning.
