HAPPY BIRTHDAY MA'AM
Britain's Princess Anne is turning 60 on Sunday (15 AUG 2010) - and the busy royal says she has no intention of taking things down a notch.
An avid horse rider and the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II, Anne is a backer of Britain's 2012 Olympic Games and is still active in some 200 charities.
Speaking to a BBC documentary ahead of her birthday, when asked if she was getting ready to slow down, Anne referenced her famously busy mother, saying that she has set an example to her.
No doubt she will be getting plenty of a horse-related birthday gifts - as she is so well known for her love of riding.
She's even written a book about it, called "Riding Through My Life."
The Princess Royal used to regularly compete on horseback throughout the 70s and 80s and is the only member of the Royal Family to represent her country at the Olympic Games, in 1976 she was part of the British Eventing Team in Montreal.
Born at Clarence House in 1950, she was educated at Buckingham Palace before attending Benenden School, a boarding school in Kent, from 1963.
Twice married, the Princess first tied the knot with Lieutenant Mark Phillips in 1973.
Together they had two children, Peter Phillips - who was born in 1977, and Zara Phillips - born in 1981.
Her daughter also shares her mother's passion for horses and is a world champion horsewoman.
In April 1992 the Princess' first marriage was dissolved and in December of the same year she married Commander Timothy Laurence.
Her title was changed from Princess Anne to the Princess Royal in June 1987.
She now lives at Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire and, as well as supporting the Queen by attending official engagements, she also works for a wide range of charities like Save The Children and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
