ABOUT THE BOOK

"Love At Second Sight" by F. T. Lukens is a YA contemporary paranormal fantasy with a queer romance subplot and a mystery subplot.

Cam starts off the new school year with some difficulty. Cam’s best friend starts distancing themself and his human parents aren’t happy with him going to school with a bunch of supernatural beings. What’s worse—Cam discovers he’s not human, but clairvoyant, when he experiences a vision of a future murder. While learning the social norms of the paranormal community and making unlikely friends, Cam attempts to prevent the murder.

Representation notes:
The main character is LGBT+ as well as the love interest (who is also Brown). The main character’s best friend uses they/them pronouns. The cast includes POC and LGBT+ characters, and diversity is seen as normal in the universe.
