2023 Honda Monkey 125 - diy upgrade rear shocks using Öhlins (walk-around)

Sixth diy mods on my 2023 Honda Monkey: Ohlins rear shockbreaker (HO 819)

my diy steps:

-Use the spring that fit your weight. If your weight is above 80kg, you need to switch to the other spring already included in the package

-To replace the spring, you only need to push it with your fingers until the plate that holds the spring falls off.

Once you manage to take off the spring & replace with the other one, put back the plate to hold & secure the spring.

-After the springs are being replaced, it's recommended to adjust the settings based on Ohlins recommendations.

-Before installing the shocks, make sure the length of both shocks are the same. if not, follow the Ohlins instructions manual to set the length of your shocks.

-To install the shock after you succeeded uninstalling the stock, use the same stock washers. I recommend to do the left side first (without dismantling the bolt of the right shock) until it's done, than continue to the right side.

You need some extra hands to help you lift the Monkey because of the Ohlins original setting is somehow longer than the stock's length and because if you only use the side stand instead the paddock stand.

-After you're done with the left shocks, the right will be easier than the left and you don't need to dismantle the exhaust.
