Pacific Energy Wood Stove (Modified) Because I am a car guy, I cant just leave things alone in stock form, I am always looking for a way to modify and improve on original designs. In this video I show you a stainless steel rack that I built to raise my fire wood off the floor of the wood stove to improve ease of lighting the fire and the overall heat you get out of the burn on the lowest longest burn air setting. I also modified the air intlet to pre heat out side air to cycle new fresh air through the house while the stove is burning. I also added an air duct to the back of the stove to push air from the stove's convection air vent into the room creating a natural air flow circulation. I added a hinge to one heat shield on the right side of the stove to allow the fire box to radiate into the room to improve radiant heat transfer. and I talk about a future air duct for the fire box intake pipe to again improve air flow circulation in the house.
