Silent Hill 2 Full Playthrough: In Water Ending

You are a guy named James Sunderland who claims to have gotten a letter from his dead wife Marry and for that matter he has come to Silent Hill to look for his dead wife. The premise sounds odd and interesting, doesn't it? well, that's where Silent Hill 2's story grips you.

In this run, I went for In Water Ending. personally, I think this particular ending is fitting considering the grim feel and atmosphere of the game.

To get the In Water Ending:
- you have to be on low health most of the time and you shouldn't heal frequently unless it's necessary.
- you should ignore Maria specially when she rests in the hospital.
- you have to examine Angella's knife when you pick it up.
- you better to examine Maria's photo in your inventory a couple of times during the game.

A Few Information About Different Endings
Silent Hill 2 contains 4 main endings: Leave Ending, In Water Ending, Maria Ending and Rebirth ending which you can get after achieving the initial 3 endings. you can achieve the Leave Ending by healing frequently and not examining Marry's photo and Angella's knife. you can get the Maria Ending by paying attention and taking care of her (Maria) and not examining Marry's photo and Angella's knife. I don't have much information about the process of achieving the Rebirth Ending but I believe it is somehow achieved by picking up certain items which pop up throughout the city in your 4th playthrough.
