The United Nations deadline for Iraq to leave Kuwait has passed. The United States and their coalition partners being the War in the Persian Gulf. The operation which was Operation Desert Shield is now known as Operation Desert Storm.

One of the advantages Americans have is the ability to fly at night, something the Iraqis cannot do. There is some flying that also cannot be detected. They are far less vulnerable to Iraqi hand-held rockets.

There are frequent conversions with military analysts and reporters. There is very little video. Gary Shephard their reporter in Baghdad is the only one ABC has on the gourd who can confirm there are air attacks with tracer fire visible coming up from the ground.
