I’ve been wanting to build a portable pocket computer—a simple DIY cyberdeck—for years, and I finally got around to making one! This project, sometimes called a pocket terminal or "Termyte," uses a Pimoroni Hyperpixel 4 Touch display, Raspberry Pi Zero 2W, PiSugar 3 battery, Adafruit KB2040 microcontroller, and an Xbox 360 Chatpad keyboard. The case is super easy to 3D print (no supports needed!), making it a great open source hardware project for beginners and experienced makers alike. I think it’s a really solid proof of concept for the kinds of handheld computers and hacker gadgets I want to make next.

In this video, I do a quick teardown and reassembly of the "Termyte" cyberdeck, showing all the parts, the 3D printed case, and the modular components.
