Still Alive (Portal) - Cover

Happy holidays, it's time for a holiday-unrelated cover!

Recurring viewers of my channel will notice that in covers I usually praise the song at good length because I really like it. The same is true of Still Alive from the acclaimed video game Portal (and of its companion song in Portal 2, Want You Gone) - something about the overarching storyline and GLaDOS's funny murderous quips has stolen my heart. Although this isn't a chill cover unlike the past few, I've really wanted to do it for a while. And here it is!

As with some previous covers, I've made my own instrumental. It was fun to try and find some decent-sounding hard rock guitar sounds, even if I'm not sure I delivered! Unfortunately I can't find a way to decently replicate GLaDOS's signature voice effect, but if I ever manage to do it I'll upload a version with it in.

I'm not sure if this'll be the last video posted this year, but in any case I'd also like to say a massive thank you for all the support. My 100 Years recover has blown up suddenly and I've seen an influx of new subscribers - to them, welcome to my channel! I do musical stuff! To old subscribers, your continued support means a lot to me. Thanks so much. :))
