The $35 CoolShark JK02 “Cooling" Telescopic Game Controller for Android, iOS, Switch, and PC

Описание к видео The $35 CoolShark JK02 “Cooling" Telescopic Game Controller for Android, iOS, Switch, and PC

This is the CoolShark Cooling Telescopic Bluetooth Controller. It’s designed with a cooling element to keep your device cooler and although it seems like a gimmick it does get really cold after a few minutes with the fan turned on. It’s quiet too.

In this video I test the buttons and sticks in Gamepad Tester. The average circularity error for both sticks is around 3%, which is good, and all of the buttons feel good too. The D-pad registers all inputs but had problems with diagonals. It’s really hard to pull off moves in fighting games but it feels fine for most platformers, RPGs, and puzzle games.

I also test the temperatures with an IR sensor before and after using the cooling feature on the controller. I chose to play some OutRun Coast2Coast with PPSSPP and clearly confirmed there’s a significant change in surface temperature. This may not have any real effect on performance. I can’t yet confirm if it’ll actually help a mobile phone from getting too hot but as you can see in the video, with the X18S it was so cold to the touch condensation immediately began to develop.

Thanks for watching!
