In this video I summarize the usual training approach suggested in many other videos and articles: 2 weekly higher intensity workouts, 1 long run, topped with some recovery/easy sessions.

Then I explain how I ended up plateauing (45 seconds off) and tried a couple of failed modifications.
My breakthrough finally came after 3 months of very high volume at very low intensity (keeping the 2 weekly workouts).

I offer some explanations as to why it might have worked, as well as some limitations.
