MALASA AT MASARSANG BEEF MECHADO RECIPE | MECHADONG BAKA

This is my version of Filipino style beef mechado, a tomato- based beef stew with red and green bell pepper, carrots and potatoes in rich, thick sauce.



INGREDIENTS :
( Marinate )

1 kg beef ( sirloin ), cut into chunk
1/4 cup lemon juice or calamansi juice
1 large onion, chopped
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 drops worcestershire sauce ( optional )

2 small size red and green bell pepper
1 large carrot, sliced
2 medium size potatoes, cut into chunk
5 gloves garlic, peeled and crushed
2 medium size tomatoes, diced
add 1 to 2 cups of water ( add more as needed )
cooking oil
1/2 cup tomato sauce
