This video has been made to help children to read alien words, also known as pseudo words. Alien words are part of the phonics screening test mainly taken in year 1 but some older/younger children may take the test to check their phonics knowledge and ability to blend words.

This phonics video consists of words from phase 3 phonics, a video for phase 5 alien words will be featured soon! Aliens pop up all throughout the phonics video. When children sit the phonics screen test aliens are shown next to the pseudo words so that the children know they are not real words.
