Welcome back to Super Machines! Today, we're diving into the latest leaks and rumors surrounding the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro. Apple is set to launch its next-gen smartphones early next month, and we’ve got some exciting details to share with you. From design tweaks to new features, let’s break down everything you need to know.
DESIGN AND COLORS:
First up, let's talk design. Renowned leaker Sonny Dickson has revealed images of what appear to be late-stage dummy models of the iPhone 16 Pro. These aren’t the final retail units, but they give us a solid look at what to expect. The design carries over elements from the iPhone 15 Pro series, but with a few key changes that are sure to catch the eye.
Apple is sticking with its classic color choices for the Pro models, offering white, black, and silver. But the big news? A new bronze color is reportedly joining the lineup. This is likely to be a major selling point and could feature heavily in Apple’s marketing for the iPhone 16 Pro.
CAPTURE BUTTON: Now, let’s move on to one of the most interesting new features—the Capture Button. This new button joins the Action Button introduced last year, which allowed for user customization to trigger various apps and actions. The Capture Button, however, is expected to be tied closely to the camera, bringing back the functionality of a traditional camera shutter button.
What’s more, it’s capacitive and offers force sensitivity, meaning a half-press could lock focus before taking a picture. This harks back to a classic photography feature, adding a professional touch to your smartphone photography experience.
CAMERA AND SPATIAL VIDEO: Speaking of the camera, the lens layout from the iPhone 15 Pro is being carried over. This setup isn’t just for aesthetics—it’s designed to record stereoscopic video when you hold the phone in landscape mode. The resulting footage can be processed into Apple’s “spatial video” format, perfect for viewing on the Apple Vision Pro headset.
This is a big step in tying together Apple’s ecosystem, making your iPhone an even more integral part of your digital life.
SOFTWARE AND AI: Finally, let’s touch on the software. While it’s not fully on display yet, we know that Apple is planning to integrate generative AI across all its operating systems, including iOS. Unfortunately, this feature, known internally as Apple Intelligence, won’t be fully ready at launch. We’re expecting a subset of features to roll out in October, with the complete package arriving by Q1 2025.
So, while the hardware is impressive, it’s clear that Apple is playing the long game with its software. Until then, we’ll just have to see if the new bronze color and the Capture Button are enough to keep Apple fans excited.
That’s all for today’s video on the iPhone 16 Pro. Are you excited about the new design and features? Let us know in the comments below. Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and hit the bell icon to stay updated with all the latest tech news. See you in the next video!
