Yellow Balau Decking from Southgate Timber

This is my decking install with Yellow Balau hardwood supplied by Southgate Timber. I constructed a sub frame from 8x2 bolted to 6x6 posts concreted in. I used Spax decking screws, and a Spax board puller to get everything aligned. 5mm gap using Spax spacers. I rounded off the ends using a 1/4" round over bit on my trimmer. Really important to seal the end grain with Osma end grain sealing wax. The facing boards on the step risers were just nailed on with stainless steel brads with my nailer. It was good to be able to order specific lengths as I didn't want any joins. Deck needs to weather for 12 months before oiling, however it doesn't really need it. I've got some Osma decking oil to tart it all up.
