The Good, The Bad & The Weird Breguet's New Type XX (Critique, History, Redesign)

A Discussion around the 2023 Release of the new Breguet Type XX / Type 20 Chronograph. A return to the iconic form, looking at the classic 1950's design with some added modern touches. Traditionally a Flyback Chronograph given to French Pilots, it now houses a new automatic, hi-beat flyback complication. I look at the watches history, design and improve the areas that might have been overlooked with this collection (fixing the date window / complication) the choice of lume and questioning its price compared to a model that closely shares its design and history.
