At the core of Speed Broadheads is Reactive Technology—a patent-pending micro piston built in the center of the ferrule.

When the arrow is released, acceleration drives the centerline piston forward into the back of the blades. Since the mass of the blades are off-centered the force pushes the blades inward, creating pressure that locks the blades during flight. The faster the shot, the tighter the blades lock for perfect field tip accuracy.

When the arrow’s speed stabilizes, the piston returns to preload pressure and deployment position. On impact, the blades are pushed back into the piston releasing them instantly with just 1.5 pounds of force.

Speed blades can’t open in flight, deploy instantly on impact, penetrate deeper and create larger wound channels.
