Today’s video is about various subject combinations a child can opt in class XI of a CBSE affiliated school. This video is very important for Schools, teachers, parents & students of class XI.

This scheme of studies was introduced by the CBSE about 02 years ago, but due to the Corona pandemic.

Now when the CBSE used the term “that there will be no streaming in class XI” in its latest Policy document on Result declaration, the people started making queries on this issue.

Keeping this communication gap in view, the School Problem solution is here to bridge this gap and to help the stakeholders with this ready information

As per this scheme of studies, all #subjects have been divided into the following: You can opt #languages, #Electivesubjects & 6th additional subject.
1. Languages 37
2. Academic Electives: Physics, Bio Accountancy, History, Business Studies, Economics, Biology Chemistry, Political Science, Informatics Practices and so on.
3. Skill Electives: Retail, Tourism, Web Application, Agriculture, Banking, Health, Marketing, Insurance, Horticulture and so on.
Now Few Questions:
1. What subjects can you opt?
English (Elective or core)
Hindi (Elective or core)
At least one out of these is must.
2. Can you opt two languages in the 05 subjects?
Yes. 2nd language can be from the list of 37 languages approved and offered by the CBSE.
If only one language is opted then you can opt any one subject from the list of Academic elective subjects in lieu of the 2nd language.
If two languages are opted, you can opt 03 elective subjects.
3. Which could the 03 Elective Subjects?
You can opt 03 elective subjects either from the academic electives or from the Skills elective subjects OR even you any opt any 03 together from both group of elective subjects.
4. How can you opt for the 6th Subject?
It is (Additional / Optional)
Anyone can opt. Any language or any elective or skills elective can be opted as the 6th additional/ optional subject.
If a child, who appeared in the 6 subjects, fails in any subject, his one subject in which he has failed will be replaced and the result on the basis of the pass 05 subjects will be declared provided Hindi or English should remain one of the pass subjects in the total 05 elective pass subjects.
Besides, Practical Marks and Internal Assessment Marks in Languages, Electives will be allotted as per the scheme.

CBSE has a mandate to set up school curriculum committees at each school to implement this scheme of studies.
