The IEEE IoT Journal (IoT-J), which debuted in 2014, publishes papers on the most recent breakthroughs in IoT as well as review articles. IoT system design, IoT enabling technologies, IoT communication and networking protocols, IoT services and applications, and the societal consequences of IoT are among the topics covered. IoT needs, consequences, and implications on sensor technologies, big data management, and future internet architecture for various IoT use cases such as smart cities, smart environments, smart homes, and so on are examples. IoT architectures such as things-centric, data-centric, and service-centric architecture, CPS and SCADA platforms, future Internet design for IoT, cloud-based IoT, and system security and manageability are among the areas of interest. Sensors, radio frequency identification, low power and energy harvesting, sensor networks, and machine-type sensors are examples of IoT supporting technologies.
