PCOS stands for poly - meaning multiple, cystic for cysts, ovarian for ovary and syndrome which means a condition characterized by a set of associated symptoms.

In PCOS there are hormonal imbalances which cause a variety of symptoms which can include irregular, heavy, painful periods; weight gain; excessive hair growth, acne and fertility problems. PCOS can have a major impact on an individual’s life. So many women suffer in silence, are undiagnosed, misdiagnosed or inadequately treated. So let’s learn more about it by busting some common myths.
