1. Tips for sellers
If you are a seller, you base your asking price on several factors:
Recent home sales for similar properties in the area
Current asking prices for similar houses in the area
Speed of sale and any concessions you can make to attract a buyer and make your home stand out from the crowd
I use a three-step strategy to help sellers correctly evaluate their properties
Sellers choose which one is best for them based on their goals, motivation, time, and comfort level
Should I remodel the house before it goes to market, and if I do, will I return my investment?
Rebuild Cost Versus Value Report, compiled by Remodeling in collaboration with the National Association of REALTORS® and REALTOR® Magazine:
Includes cost estimates for 36 medium or exclusive renovation projects:
Including the percentage of costs that owners can expect to pay for on sale
The report shows that working on a large scale is unlikely to cover all the costs of the sellers
But there are some improvements worth making as some will return almost 100%
Others may not be 100% refundable
But they improve the market position of real estate compared to the competition.
