spam 🤝 eggs. some of the most delicious comfort food isn’t complicated— and can come from humble origins. I love that spam is a perfect example that you don’t need to spend much to create incredible flavors at home!

the history of ingredients or recipes is such a great way to understand how dishes come about, how different cuisines integrate ingredients + adapt over time. It is so interesting to see how history + time have such an impact on cuisine!

do you have a favorite spam dish? 🍳

ɪɴɢʀᴇᴅɪᴇɴᴛꜱ:
• spam, cubed
• 4 eggs, whisked
• salt + pepper
• 1/2 tbsp vegan butter
• 1 tbsp oyster sauce
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• 2 tsp sugar
• white rice
• furikake

directions:
• make rice as desired
• cube spam
• add soy sauce, oyster sauce + sugar together
• pan fry spam until crispy then add in sauce mixture until evenly coated
• whisk eggs and add into pan on medium heat with butter
• fold eggs as desired
• top rice with spam, eggs + furikake!
