Just a 3 hr drive from Mumbai is Kalmandavi waterfall, a perfect escape from the summer heat of Maharashtra. It has water all throughout the year and yes even in the summer! It is located in Jawahar, which is known as the city of waterfalls and Kalmandavi is just one of the many summer waterfalls here. You can swim, cool down and you can even try cliff jumping! The best part is that it is totally accessible, no trekking is required. There is even a paid car parking here and the waterfall is just a 10 mins walk from the parking.

🚗 The most recommended way to reach is to drive here. It is 130 kms from Mumbai and 80 kms from Nasik. The road from Mumbai to Jawahar is pretty good and smooth and the drive is enjoyable.

🚆 It is not easily accessible by train as the closest railway station is Igatpuri which is 60 kms away, so you will have to take a taxi till the waterfall. Palghar/Dahanu are stations on the western line that are kind of close (70-80 kms) and again you will have to take a taxi.

Eating Options

There are many dhabas and food joints in Jawahar so you will easily get a variety of food options, the special ones being Vada Pav, Misal Pav and Fish Thalis.
