Machu Picchu, Peru - "City of the Incas" (Travel Video Guide 037)

The main attraction of Peru is Machu Picchu, also one of the most visited sites in whole South America. The "lost City of the Incas" was my 4th stop after visiting Lima, Cusco and Choquequirao.

I hiked up early to make the most out of my time there.

=== My trip to Machu Picchu, Peru ===
No, I didn't walked the Inca trail or the alternative Salcantay trail to get there. Instead of this I hiked the Choquequirao trail before going by train to Aguas Calientes.

After a short night I got up early and hiked all the way up to be one of the first at the entry. Everything worked out fine and I had a lot of time to walk around and enjoy the site as much as possible.

The buildings and constructions are really impressive and the location the Incas chose to build this city is breathtaking. Today a lot of tourists make their way up there all year round -- for a good reason!
