Roland R8 / Nord Lead 2X demo jam

HI!

Here's a quick-ish demo of the Roland R8, paired with the mighty Nord Lead 2X. Totally not inspired by anything Warp records might have put out around '94....

I've seen quite a few demos of the R8 but they seem to be either very dry explanations of the manual, pseudo-80s pop recreations, and (most recently) all about that snare... So here's some pitch shifted hi-hats instead.

Drum sequencing was all done on the R8, clock and midi sequencing was done on the MC-50. The Nord is supplying a rhythmic hat-like pattern, the bass, the hoover and BoC-ish bell-leads. All through a (ahem, Neve) mixer, with a Yamaha SPX90 providing the uber-scrunchy reverbs. I didn't go to the trouble of using Song Mode on the R8, which is why I'm changing patterns on the fly,
