The Riida monitor with two probes is very handy, and simple to use. The 300 foot range and built in temperature guides make it much more handy than the old probe. The probes stainless steel wires are 40 inches, which gives me plenty of lead to set the sender on the grill's side pad away from the heat. With the dual probes, I can keep tabs on the internal tempurature in the grill, and also the current temperature status of the meat cooking in the grill.

Sometimes the gas grill gets a little eratic but with this dual probe, I can keep an eye on it from anywhere in teh house and adjust as needed without disturbing the meat or standing right on top if it. The unit has an alarm for under and over temp settings. So, if the grill runs out of gas I get a low temp alarm and can zip up to the store for an exchenge tank of propane. Or on the other hand, if the grill starts to heat up to hellish temperatures, I can run out and turn it down a little. This is handy for that decorative carmelized bark on the roast or ribs in that final sprint to completed cooking. Get it perfect everytime. Never go back to the grill on time to find that rack of ribs is incinerated ashes.
