Today's episode is about our final gastronomic tour in Siliguri and we are out to explore some more eateries whose menu are the talk of the town. To guide us on this tour we have with us our gracious host Prerna from Our Guest Travels.

The first stop of this tour was the New Kalpataru hotel. It is a pice hotel that serves authentic Bengali meals. Their fish items are much loved and hence it attracts patrons from far and near. We tried some of their veg dishes, a couple of fish delicacies and chutney. Our favourite was the jhuri aalu bhaja, chitol macher kalia and amshotto chatni.

This was followed by a Chinese dish at one of city's oldest Chinese restaurants named Tai Wah. It was a delicate and light wonton soup. This experience turned out to be more memorable because of the heartwarming interaction with the genial and humble owner.

The penultimate stop was Zaika Biryani House where we picked up their hot selling chicken roll which was succulent and flavourful. The owner also treated us to their hot selling biryani and mutton curry. The latter one was quite amazing.

The final stop was a cheerful Korean Bakery named Himal Tree. Prerna took us there for their baby choux pastry. The soft and pillowy bread stuffed with custard cream was phenomenal.

Siliguri's food scene was truly vibrant and gratifying. We still had a lot to explore but this tour marked the end for this time's visit.
