Pan Pacific Melbourne is a luxury hotel in the popular South Wharf area. If you are looking for one of Melbourne’s best hotels, this hotel should be on your list. The hotel has 396 rooms and suites and is rated as a 5 star property.
The hotel is located within walking distance to the Melbourne Convention Centre, DFO, Yarra River, cafes and restaurants. It’s also walking distance to some of Melbourne’s top tourist attractions such as the Crown Casino and the Melbourne aquarium.
Facilities at the Pan Pacific Melbourne include a 24 hour gym. On the ground floor is their Dock 37 restaurant. It serves some good food. For mornings they have a nice buffet breakfast. The breakfast rate was $39, or $29 if you booked the night before. See video for more details. Next door is their café Orr for casual food.
In this video, I show some of the Pan Pacific’s rooms I stayed in. The first was the deluxe room with view of Port Philip Bay. The room I had was the wheelchair-accessible room so you will get an idea of how it looks. The other rooms I stayed was there Yarra Suite – which had amazing views of the skyline of Melbourne and of the Yarra. The Panoramic Suite has some of the best views from a hotel in Melbourne. Even the bathtub has amazing views of the city. Some of the Pan Pacific rooms/suites have access their club lounge. I’ll show you what to expect.
To book at the Pan Pacific Melbourne, I found the best room rates for the lead in rooms best at sites such as TripAdvisor, HotelsCombined and Trivago. Depending on dates, rates started from around AUD 279 for the deluxe, AUD 549 for the Yarra Suite and AUD 599 for the Panoramic Suite. The higher end rooms I found cheapest on the Pan Pacific’s Discovery Club Membership website.
At the end I give review the Pan Pacific Melbourne. The one thing I loved about the hotel was the amazing panoramic views of Melbourne, particularly at night.
